A memorial fund to honor the life and legacy of John Conway Boyd.
Support a great cause and come together as a community to honor the legacy of John Boyd, the man, the myth, the legend.
Starting immediately, 100% of all donations through this website will go directly to Owen’s House, a temporary home in Rochester serving over 2,000 at-risk children a year. Owen’s house is one of the many amazing programs run by The Center for Youth.
After pickleball, join us for the post-game BBQ. We’ll let out a few obnoxious laughs in John’s honor as we feast on food and drink.
Then, we’ll do what John loved best – break down the game and select the MVP. Often times this was him. Once, it was me. Who will it be this year?!
John Boyd inspired and touched the hearts of so many during his time on earth. From teaching children English in the Far East to his extensive work providing critical financing for small businesses in developing countries, John was indiscriminate in his love and support for others. John would have been incredibly touched to see his friends and family come together to raise money for an amazing cause. Please help us keep John’s memory alive by donating to his memorial fund.
Over 50 years ago, a group of Brighton students founded The Center for Youth to empower and advocate for vulnerable youth. Their mission is to provide comprehensive programs completely free, voluntary, and confidentially. Your donations go to Owen’s House, the only program of its kind in New York State, which delivers emergency care to babies and children during family crises while addressing poverty by preparing young women and caregivers for employment. Named after Owen Thomas, an 18-year-old Brighton student whose life was tragically cut short, much like John’s, is a cause that encapsulates John’s mission to help others.

One of John’s superpowers was his ability to make new connections and continuously expand his social circle. Let’s apply this power to our donation efforts! Send this link to at least 3 individuals who we don’t already know. This way we can supercharge our reach and connect with new networks, just like John did.
The “Be Like John Boyd” movement is spreading across the nation
